You may bring a packed lunch instead if you wish. It is recommended that you bring a bottle of water with you every day clearly labeled with your name.
My Mum/Dad/Auntie etc., wants to help. Can this be organised?
We are always in need of Chaperones and Wardrobe Assistants and appeal to parents/guardians for their help throughout Summer Youth Project. Chaperones are essential for the smooth running of the project and assist with the supervision and queries of the members and we could not do the project without them.Wardrobe Assistants help with the production of costumes under the guidance of the Wardrobe Mistress. We are therefore interested to hear from parents/guardians who may be able to spare some free time. If you think you may be able to help with either of these important roles please call Tracy on (01424) 46 22 87.
Will I have to be on my best behaviour?
The project main objective is to be enjoyable. However, The Summer Youth Project holds a high profile in the local community and each member represents both the Youth Project and the White Rock Theatre. The theatre can also be a dangerous environment if not treated with respect. For both these reasons we do expect a certain standard of conduct to achieve a pleasant and safe experience. On Admin Day (Sunday 1st August) we will be giving a Health & Safety talk and also a tour of the building. You will be given paperwork on our Health and Safety procedure and Behaviour policies. We will be asking you to sign a form to confirm that you have received the relevant information and training and will abide by the Health and Safety procedure and Behaviour policy. We operate a '3 strikes and you're out' policy.
There is also a form for parents/guardians to sign to say that if your child does not abide by the Health and Safety Procedure and Behaviour Policy then this could result in your child being asked to leave the project and the loss of your fee.
Please note: Failure to adhere to these standards during the Summer Youth Project may result in the loss of place and fee.
